A Second Home for You

A Second Home for You (ASHFY) provides transitional housing and life programs in Cleveland that are designed for young adult males between the ages of 18 – 25 years who aged out of foster care and need extra support to effectively navigate into adulthood. ASHFY tailor’s their transitional life programs to meet the unique needs of each individual. It is the mission of “A Second Home for You” to bridge the gap between foster care and adult living by assisting young adults who have aged out of the foster care system.

African American Cultural Garden

The African American Garden site was dedicated in 1977. The completed African American Cultural garden will convey the journey of the African American community from the past through the present and into the future.

C.O.O.R. Mentoring Program

C.O.O.R. is a life skills-based after-school program serving school-age youth. The program structure is group-based and focuses on character building, social-emotional learning & development, and academic enrichment. C.O.O.R. Enrichment & Mentoring Program is a community 501c(3) nonprofit organization and a movement dedicated to enlightening youth through leadership, education, and positive identity development. Founder's Path

Founder’s Path is a faith-based nonprofit organization whose members have overcome alcoholism, drug addiction, and other forms of spiritual sickness.  Founder’s Path brings their recovered members together with those in the community to share their experience, strength and hope through spiritual retreats and assisting in the daily struggles of those dealing with addiction.

Garden Valley Neighborhood House

The residents of Cleveland’s Garden Valley Neighborhood are some of the most socially and economically segregated in the city.  Whether providing food to a grandmother who is raising her grandchildren, coaxing seniors to exercise weekly and reduce salt intake, offering free training in construction skills to help adults become more self reliant, or tutoring elementary school children to help guarantee academic success, Garden Valley Neighborhood House is meeting the needs of a community that many have associated only with violence and poverty.

Lighthouse, Inc.

The Lighthouse is a non-profit organization that focuses on building strong relationships with kids through coaching, mentoring and sponsoring events. Their goal is to revolutionize the world one relationship at a time. What started as a bus donation is now a movement, a lifestyle of raising up people to champion the cause of Christ. For over 30 years, the Lighthouse has dreamed with families, loved on children and has been welcomed as a part of the neighborhood fabric. Malachi House

Malachi House, created out of a Christian sense of ministry, serves persons who are terminally ill, without regard to gender, race, religion or national origin and without cost to the resident or family. This Home ministers to individuals who need an available caregiver, who have limited or no financial resources and are in need of special home care in the final stages of life. Their trained staff and volunteers provide spiritual, emotional and physical support with the assistance of a hospice team.

Seeds of Literacy

Seeds of Literacy is an innovative adult literacy program that provides free, one-to-one tutoring in basic education and GED prep to adults in Cleveland. Literacy is an important social ill to address, especially in the city of Cleveland where 66% of Cleveland residents ages 16 and up, are functionally illiterate.

The Haven Home

The Haven Home was established as the family overflow shelter in 2017 to serve homeless women and their children in Cuyahoga County. The family overflow shelter exists to provide temporary emergency shelter until a bed becomes available at a family shelter.

Total Life Wellness

Total Life Wellness is a 501(c)(3) organization established in 2019 by Rachel Socorro, who is the Founder and Executive Director. Their mission is simple be well and share our lived experience, strength, and hope to help others get well. Using the 252-plan created by co-founder Bronson Landrum they provide a place where people can be guided, advocated, and facilitated in holistic health and abundant living in Christ. They are the “what’s next,” after survivorship, of any form of trauma.
